ALMM List-II for solar cells: what changes for your projects

· 1 min read

POLICY Policy

MNRE’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers now covers solar cells as well as modules. Here is what installers should check before quoting.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) extended the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) to solar PV cells through List-II, applicable from 1 June 2026. Projects covered by the order need modules built with cells from ALMM-listed manufacturers.

Checklist before you quote

  • Confirm whether the project falls under ALMM requirements (government, subsidy-linked and net-metered projects usually do).
  • Ask your supplier for the module’s ALMM listing and the cell source.
  • Keep datasheets and certificates on file for DISCOM inspections.

Every module we supply comes with its datasheet. Browse the datasheet library or ask our team for certificates.
